Our Girls

We have been in the process of adopting for 20 months now. We are nearing the end. Here is a little bit about the two sweet girls we are in the process of trying to our adopt along with a little about our 3 bio daughters.

First is Olga   . She is almost 7 years old. She has a diagnosis of Down Syndrome. We were able to meet her in April. She is a sweet and active little girl. She loves to play outside kicking the ball around and having her soon to be "papa" chasing after it. Her orphanage director & staff were wonderful. They all love the children and truly want what is best for them. The social worker at the orphanage took us into her office and showed us pictures on her computer of Olga. We were able to see her as a baby all the way up until we met her. We are required to keep the country updated on how she is doing but we pray we will be allowed to keep in a contact with her orphanage as well. They are a huge part of who she is and we don't want her to lose that.

Next is Vanessa. She is almost 4. She also has a diagnosis of Down Syndrome & Congenital Heart Disease along with a host of other health issues. She is a tiny peanut weighing just over 19 lbs. We were able to meet her also in April. She has the most contagious smile and loves to be held. She is not walking yet but loves to be held up in a standing position so she can sort of bounce up and down.. She was fascinated with my hair and would run her little hands through it and pull at it a little letting if fall while she laughed. Her orphanage director and staff were also wonderful. They made us feel welcomed while we were there. They too love the children in their care. We are looking forward to keeping in contact with her orphanage as well.

Now for our Bio daughters:
Our youngest is Britney. She is my shadow and will follow me around everywhere I go. She loves Girl Scouts and animals. She is looking forward to finally being a big sister and not being the baby anymore.

Next is Jessica. She is our child who has a style all her own. She is our cheerleader and lives and breaths cheer. She has always had the mommy instinct since she was little and played with baby dolls. She has a heart for the Lord and has no problem telling anyone about Him.  She can't wait to show the girls how to cheer :) And to show them what its like having big sisters.

Our oldest is Rebecca. It's hard to believe in just a few short years she will be old enough to get married and move away. She has had big plans for college since she was around 5 years old. I think she watched to much Gilmore Girls with mommy late at night when she was fighting ear infections. She is planning on traveling and seeing the world. She wants to take some mission trips too. She has a heart for orphans and widows. She is a wonderful big sister.
